Physicians Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Mascara

The first thing I noticed was the amazing packaging. The tube sits soft and comfortably in the palm of your hand and sports the cutest little metallic green leaf wand cap. It definitely doesn't look like your average tube of black lash gooey stuff.
The second I whipped out the applicator I knew it was going to be great for precision lashes and definition.  The brush has very short and dense bristles that comb out your lashes and separate without clumping.  In my opinion this makes it a great every day mascara for swipe and go definition in a snap. The formula is excellent, it doesn't flake or clump and it stays on throughout a 14 hour day with ease, but it's not the mascara I'd turn to for a glamorous night out.

Their Natural Origins Mascara has the highest level of pure ingredients wrapped around a 100% recyclable Eco brush, is 100% free of harsh chemicals, synthetic preservatives, and parabens, and boasts clump, smudge, and flake free lashes. Physicians even has the honour of being the first Ecocert certified line of makeup in the United States!
Overall, Physician's Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Mascara is a great option for fuss free daily wear and separated lashes. Anyway who wouldn't want to carry this in your makeup bag and have everyone staring with jealous 'i want you eyes'.

NYX Above and Beyond Full Coverage Concealer

PACKAGING – The concealer comes in a small glass jar which I find pretty cute but not necessarily the most hygienic although I do understand the reasoning behind it since the product is thick and creamy.

TEXTURE & APPLICATION – This stuff is thick, which was expected for a concealer that is claimed to be full coverage. I first applied it with my fingers by dabbing it into my skin but since I wasn't too happy with the coverage it gave, I decided to try it with a blending brush and I absolutely love it! The application is pretty easy because the consistency is creamy and blends in easily.
PIGMENTATION & WEAR – I wouldn’t necessarily consider it full coverage. I found it did an OK job at best when I applied it with my finger but after using it with a brush, I love the coverage this concealer gives! I tried using this stuff under my eyes and found it too cakey and dry so it accentuated any fine lines I had in the area. I can see the concealer being cakey if you apply too much so make sure you blend, blend, blend!

All in all, I really like this stuff to cover any imperfections on my face and the price seriously can't be beat for a full coverage concealer. I believe that there are better concealers  that can work for both the under eye and rest of the face but it all depends on what you're looking for. I personally don't mind using 2 products (mainly because I like a lighter shade under my eyes than to cover imperfections) so I definitely will be reaching for this concealer often.

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr- Barely Branded

While I was in America this year, i fell in love with this!
Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo - Retails for about $5-$7. These are absolutely amazing products and because these work so well. I love Barely Branded because it makes for an excellent all around base color for shimmery eyeshadow days!
These have amazing pigmentation and staying power. It's a gorgeous champagne colour with golden undertones. I always use these a base for shadows and don't need any other product underneath. These wont crease or fade on you!

I love this colour and would highly recommend it for girls who love neutrals or if you're just seeking out a good eyeshadow primer in general - this product works great as both!

Hopefully it will be available in the UK soon!

MaxFactor Glossfinity Nail Polish- Midnight Bronze

You may not know me but I have an obsession with Rose Gold! This started at the beginning of the year when the Micheal Korrs watches started to pop up left right and centre. I love all things rose gold, especially jewellery.

One thing I have been searching for since this obsession has started, is a Rose Gold nail polish. I've never seen one in the "drug-store" and any of the others that I've seen were ridiculously expensive.

It applies lovely and evenly, two coats  and it's opaque. It's not streaky like I've found some other metallic polishes to be, and lasts a good 4-5 days with a topcoat before the tips start to wear!

I was wearing this with my dark green parka the other day and a maroon woolly scarf and I thought it went really well. So this colour is what I' m going to be wearing on my nails this autumn! :)

I've never tried any of the MaxFactor Glossfinity nail polishes before but if the quality is as good as this one I may have to pick up a few more!

ELF Esssential Eyelid Primer- Sheer

Unfortunately I have very oily eyelids and without an eyelid primer my eyeshadow tends to slide off leaving an unattractive mess around my eyes.

I'm a long time user and lover of the ELF Essential Eyelid Primer in the original shade, sheer.
It's significantly thinner than the Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer Potion. However, it lasts just as long and does its job well at priming, helping colours show more and preventing shadow creasing all day.

At only £1.50, you cant go wrong.

Maybelline Baby Lips Pink Punch

Baby Lips have finally been released in the UK after what seems like ages in the US. I found this one in Superdrug the other day and I was straight off to the check-out without a second thought.

They are nothing more than tinted lip balms with sweet fruity scents. I decided to go for the shade 'Pink Punch' as after looking at swatches it seemed to be the most pigmented out of the bunch. And it doesn't disappoint it looks pretty much looks the same colour on my lips as it does in the bullet.

You can apply it lightly for a really sheer wash of colour but you can also build it up until it's almost opaque. It smells so yummy I could eat it! I love sweet, fruity scents so for me, this is so perfect :) In terms of moisturising it isn't the best balm I've ever tried but it does feel nice and comfortable on the lips plus the tint eliminates the need to apply lippy.

As much as I love it I'm not sure I would pick up any of the other shades but would really recommend 'Pink Punch' if you're looking for a balm with real colour pay off. They claim to last for 8 hours, I wouldn't quite agree with that but they definitely last for at least 4-5 hours. They also contain SPF 20 which is a nice bonus.

YOU NEED THIS! If you haven't found one yet in Boots/Superdrug, keep searching they are worth it! Especially since they are only £2.99!

Have you tried Maybelline Baby Lips?

Revlon Lip Butter Peach Parfait

Much like the other products by Revlon these little lip wonders come packaged complete with the quilted design on the plastic outer sleeves, which gives a slight high-end feel.
Each shades packaging matches the shade inside, and I do like a bit of colour coordination!
In my opinion the casing is pretty, practical and sturdy which is all I can ask for.

Revlon Peach Parfait Lip Butter is a warm peach almost coral shade that is not as well pigmented as it could be but its easy to wear as it is a suit all type of skin tone.

In terms of dupes it reminds me most of Nars Orgasm which it is very similar to, it also shares the same golden shimmer due to the tiny gold glitter particles.
They are also similar to Mac Cremesheen lipsticks as they feel and wear very similar on my lips, obviously each one of us will have different results but this is what they remind me of.

The formula of these is something else, this shade is well pigmented and glides on very much like a traditional lip balm. Yet it has much more colour pay off in comparison to a standard tinted lip balm. It gives a semi-opaque coverage of colour with a light glossy finish, they are very moisturising and comfortable to wear.

The Revlon Lip Butters have a very mild typical lipstick scent but nothing noticeable when worn.
I found this to wear around 1-2 hours so its not exactly long lasting.

Overall I am very impressed with these lipstick/lip balm hybrids!

MUA Heaven and Earth Eyeshadow Palette

The Heaven and Earth palette contains 12 shadows. They are all shimmery which is not great for me because I prefer to matte shades.
All the shadows are neutral which makes this a fantastic daytime product, but the darker shades are great for evening make up.

The shadows are very similar so blend really well together for natural/nude eye looks.
As a fan of subtle eye 'looks', this is brilliant for me. The shades are nudes and natural browns that allow me to experiment without looking like I've fallen face first into my makeup bag.

The shadows have a slight shimmer to them and are very pigmented considering the low price.
I find that all the shadows are well pigmented and blend easily but you do get a fair bit of fall out with them so I'd recommend to do eyes first and base makeup last.

(Top row left to right and bottom row)

I think this palette is great for £4. It has well pigmented shadows and is a great neutral palette. The issues with fall out aren't too bad but I don't find the packaging to be good and it is really stiff to open but for the price I can't really complain.

Benefit High Beam Complexion Enhancer

I've had High Beam from Benefit for quite some time but have recently re-discovered it.
High Beam is a liquid creamy pinkish tint that can be used anywhere on the face that you might want to highlight.  The packaging recommends putting it on the cheekbones, brow bone, and/or bridge of nose.

The product comes in a glass jar with a brush applicator similar to a bottle of nail polish.  Personally, I would have preferred a squeeze type packaging.
I apply this product using the brush to put about 4 small dots on the upper part of my cheekbones after other makeup is completed.  I simply pat it in with my fingers or use a brush to blend if you prefer.
I would recommend this product for all skin types.  It is perfect for a dewy glow look.

Soap & Glory Thick and Fast Mascara

This mascara is jet black that does an amazing job of thickening your lashes without clumping or drying too fast before you apply a second coat.
I wouldn’t say it does much for the length however if you felt you needed more volume you could apply a lengthening mascara on first then this afterwards.

It claims to give a super volume and I will say that whilst wearing this mascara three people asked what mascara I use! It must be doing something right.

It’s easy to get off after a long day, which is great as I’m very low maintenance when it comes to a beauty regime. I want something that goes on easily, does the job, and comes off with little effort. In addition, it doesn’t smudge or come off my eyes in the day – perfect!

I like the thick brush so it gives even coverage, although it can be tricky to apply when doing corner of my eye.
Also, I did a review on the Soap & Glory Smoulder Kohl Waterproof Eyeliner which you can read here.

Burt's Bees Lip Balm in Mango

Unlike the original Burt's bees balm which have the minty, tingly feeling to them when they're on your lips this one doesn't at all. It's just a smooth, hydrating, clear lip balm which has a hint of mango to it.

Personally, I would like the mango to be a bit stronger but if you're someone who doesn't like strong, overpowering scents then you will like this.

This hydrates and softens my lips while lasting for 1-2 hours.

Available in Boots for £3.69

Soap & Glory Smoulder Kohl Waterproof Eyeliner

This is my favourite eyeliner ever.
Like it's name suggests, the liner really does smoulder and is great for a smokey eye look.

Soap & Glory Smoulder Kohl Eyeliner

This lasts all day. I have used it on my water line and it doesn't budge all day. I have also used it on my eye lids to create a cat eye effect and its so easy to apply, glides on like a dream and again doesn't budge.

Soap & Glory Smoulder Kohl Eyeliner

This pencil is great because it's so soft and easy to apply and it's even waterproof, so you don't have to worry about it smudging. Although, it is really hard to remove with a wipe, so you'll have to use some make-up remover at hand.

The best bit about the eyeliner is the fact it comes with a sharpener on the end! I never seem to have one at hand so having it attached to the actual pencil lid is so handy :)

Soap & Glory Smoulder Kohl Eyeliner

It has fantastic colour payoff and lasts so long, the texture is soft and smooth and glides on to the skin so easily. I love how heavily pigmented it is. I definitely recommend this product.

I have done a review for the S&G Thick and Fast Mascara which you can read here!

Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara

I am the type of person who buys a couple of mascaras, pick my favourite and wear it non stop until I find a replacement that I love even more.

This is probably my one of my favourite beauty products and I’d gladly forgo other eye products (like eyeliner, etc.) as long as my mascara was perfectly applied.  Ideally, mascara gives you fuller, longer lashes and a better defined overall eye shape and i find this fits the bill.

I did get it for it’s promise to “grow” my lashes. I have noticed a tiny amount of growth from my originally small eyelashes, but I have been using this mascara for over 6 months, so you would have to be patient with it.
The brush is massiveee! This is both good and bad.  Good because it’s quick to apply….bad because it can be a bit messy. So I have to be careful to avoid getting little smudges of mascara on my eyelids.

Olay Essential Moisture Beauty Fluid Nourishing Day Fluid

This product has become my holy grail of moisturisers. For about a fiver, this little gem has been my daily skin saviour. Of course, it's not the absolute best of the best. There are high end products which are going to be ten times better, but like I said, it costs a fiver! Five pounds!

It leaves my skin looking clear and moisturised. It doesn’t clog up my pores and neither does it leave me with dry patches. The formula is light and non-greasy so it leaves no greasy layer on the surface.

I would say it is suitable for all skin types because even though it is specifically for dry/normal/combination skin, I have oily skin and I love it!
Personally, I massage it in, in the evening because I prefer not to use a moisturiser before I apply my make-up because I don' t like the way all moisturisers make my foundation feel on my face.

So if you're looking for a new moisturiser, I would highly recommend this!

Clean & Clear Morning Energy Skin Energising Facial Wash

Clean & Clear claim this face wash is a unique gel cleanser with Vitamin C and Ginseng which wakes you up with a fresh citrus scent while soft bursting beads burst with energy and vitamins, leaving your skin feeling clean, energised and ready to face the day.

The first morning I tried it I was completely amazed! It really does make you feel awake, refreshed and gets you going for the day ahead if you have to get up early and you feel tired this really does help!

Away from the awakening side, it is really good at cleaning your skin and is great for oily skin which I have. It also gets rid of the dirt quite well but I would use a different face wash at night for makeup and to get rid of any dirt that had built up throughout the day.

The bursting beads burst as you massage it in and feels quite relaxing. However you don't always get a lot of the beads when you pump it out of the bottle. The cleanser itself comes out as a clear gel with a few of the beads mixed in. It foams up really well which means you don't need a lot.

Overall I really like this product and would recommend it to anyone who wants a good cleanser to wake them up in the morning and at the same time clean their face well but again I wouldn't use this at night as it isn't a deep cleaning cleanser.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat

It's a fairly simple product. You apply it to freshly painted nails, and it speeds up the drying process. Whilst providing a protect shield against chipping it also adds an extra layer of gloss.

When I am wearing this, I really have noticed a difference. My nail polish stays put a lot longer (2-3 days) and my manicures do look a lot more shiny, which I love. Although I can't say my nail polish dries a great deal quicker.

For £5.99 this little dude won't break the bank and if you were looking for a new top coat or a product to make you nails look that little bit better, I would happily recommend it.

Not a very in depth review I know, bit let's face it, if you aren't wearing a topcoat and get frustrated when your nail polish chips on the day you've painted your nails, I would definitely invest in this.

Maybelline Dream Touch Cream Blush

This is a cream whipped blush that is designed to leave your skin with a soft, natural colour. Its great for giving a soft, natural flush of colour, it also contains a slight shimmer that gives cheeks a lovely sheen and a beautiful dewy finish.
The packaging is very nice and doesn’t look cheap. The lid is the same colour as the blush which makes it easier to find the colour you desire when you have more than one of these blushes. The glass container in which the product is in is quite deep so and it is also fragrance free.

The consistency is very soft. I applied it with my fingers and you can blend it very well. It kind of feels a bit powdery and not creamy in the sense that it looks greasy or so. When you have applied it, it does’t shine or anything it stays matte. You have to use more coats to get a nice finish as it sets itself into the skin.

I can definitely recommend you the Maybelline Dream Touch Blush! It has a good pigmentation, it’s easy to apply and has a great consistency. It lasts a long time therefore is great value for money.

Available in Boots and Superdrug from £6.49

ELF Golden Bronzer/Highlighter (Dior Amber Diamond dupe!)

I've had this ELF in my collection for a while now. Personally, I wouldn’t use this as a bronzer but as a highlighter instead because the colours are so bright.

The compact is huge and looks like a Nars product. It contains 12.3 grams of four different shimmer shades, which provide a healthy glow, perfect for summer. The compact comes with a big mirror that's very useful, especially for travel.

All four colours are really pretty! They make a very nice highlight that's not over powering, instead gives a natural glow. It's not too pigmented so you can blend the colours well together. You could also use this as eyeshadows.
The first swatch above is how the four colours look like when blended together. The second one is the shade on the top left which is a golden toned bronzer/highlighter; next to it is the colour on the upper right, which is a peachy shimmer colour with gold undertones; followed by the pearl shade with silver sparkles; and lastly, a golden pinky colour with gold shimmers.

This product is really similar to Dior Amber Diamond. I can't confirm it though because I don't own any Dior product, but from the swatches and images online, they really are. (As you can see below)

You can purchase the ELF bronzer here in the colour Golden for £3.75.
